This white paper, developed by the subject matter experts at CompEx details how in recent years Small Bore Tubing (SBT) inspection has become widely regarded and accepted in industry to be of greater complexity and significantly more important than it was historically.
The objective of this white paper is to highlight the importance of working collaboratively within the industry and drive towards zero leaks and fugitive emissions from SBT components and assemblies to avoid unsafe or dangerous situations occurring by recognising:
- Incorrect and (or) unsafe installation, inspection and maintenance practices
- A lack of training and competency of SBT inspectors
- A lack of awareness of appropriate technology to support the inspection and repair of SBT
- The inability to recognise risk and integrity threat
